FTU Alice in Zombieland tutorial





Supplies

Kit: I used two FTU kits by Designs By Vaybs, Alice in Wonderland and The Witches Den
Tube: Alice in Zombieland by Joahannah von Frankenstein aka Koffin Kandy available at Artistic Reality Talent
Mask: HorsePlay's Pasture Mask 19 available here!
Wordart:  Available here!
Font: Sverige Script Decorated or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open new image 600 x 600 px.

2. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (14), resize 90%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

3. Duplicate layer and change blend mode to "Linear Burn".

4. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (52) copy and paste to canvas.

5. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (16), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

6. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (53), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

7. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (29), resize 90%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition near the bottom.

8. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (49), copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

9. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (4), copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

10. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (25), resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the left side. 

11. Duplicate layer, change blend mode to "Linear Burn" 50% Opacity. Merge layer down. (Right-click and select "Merge Down")

12. Duplicate layer. Flip horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Position on the right side.

13. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (15), resize 60%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the right side. 

14. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (26), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the left side. 

15. Duplicate layer, change blend mode to "Linear Burn" 75% Opacity. Merge layer down.

16. Duplicate layer, position on the right side.

17. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (25), resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position in the middle. 

18. Using you Magic Wand tool, click inside the keyhole. Create a new layer and fill the selection with any color.

19. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland paper, resize to 600 x 600 (Alt+Ctrl+I). Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Merge layer down. 



20. Open tube, Resize as desired (I resized the full version 40%). Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Flip horizontally. Change blend mode to "Linear Light". 

21. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (35), copy and paste to canvas. Place on left side.

22. Duplicate layer, then position on the right side. 

23. Use eraser tool to clean up around the edges.

24. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (24), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right. 

25. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (15), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right. 

26. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (29), resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right. 




27. Open tube and resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas above all other layers. 

28. Duplicate layer and set blend mode to "Overlay" at 50% Opacity.

29. Open wordart supplied below and paste to upper right of template.



30. Add name. I used Sverige Script Decorated font in black, 72pt, with 2px stroke #638ecb.

31. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.

32. Open paper of choice, I used DBV_TheWitchesDenpapers (5), resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas.

33. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask HorsePlay's Pasture Mask 19) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired.

34. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.

35. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!



*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.
